Safety Services
The Jacman Group provides a wide range of safety services for clients in industry and the public sector. We offer comprehensive audits, program reviews, NFPA 70E & OSHA training, and program development to ensure that clients get the most thorough service possible.
The Jacman Group provides facility audits to assess compliance with OSHA and employer standards. We can provide general simulated OSHA inspections, or inspections of a specific aspect (e.g., machine guarding, electrical, OSHA Record keeping standard, etc). Safety procedures are compared to applicable OSHA regulations; a walkthrough of the facility is performed to determine physical violations; and employees are interviewed. Programs that are required by OSHA are also reviewed (e.g., written programs, work practices, record keeping, employee work practices and work environments) and evaluated to assess program status. Hazard assessments are provided as an aid to identify and rank risks so that prioritization and resource allocation is proportional to the hazard. Assessments vary in depth and scope, depending on customer needs. These inspections also include opening and closing conferences with management and a written report of our findings and recommendations.
OSHA requires written programs for many health & safety hazards. In some cases written programs are not required, but aid in program management and consistency. The Jacman Group develops and implements site-specific, functional programs for topics such as hazard communication, respiratory protection, industrial hygiene monitoring, hearing conservation, confined space entry, lockout/tag out, and others.
Safety Needs Assessment
The Jacman Group Safety assessment includes the following elements:
- Identification of hazards associated with the use of plant;
- Assessment of risks associated with the use of plant;
- Control of the risks associated with the use of plant; and
- Reviewing the management process to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
The first order of business is
to visit your site to review your facility as a whole from a safety perspective.
The assessment time needed is usually 1 day.
Upon completion of our safety audit/assessment a formal written report and digital pictures (these are your property and you own the rights) with recommendations for improvement.
Safety Audit
Mock OSHA inspections and audits along with the review of your overall safety programs will help your company identify gaps or oversights in your programs. Our safety audits frequently reveal items that the company would never have noticed until an actual OSHA inspection occurred or an employee was either seriously or fatally injured; and no one wants that.
The Jacman Group's mock OSHA inspections and audits of your
safety programs and training are extremely helpful in identifying weak areas of a safety program, safety training, safety documentation and other issues. If there are issues in your safety programs, you may very well have issues in product quality and overall plant efficiency and wouldn't that be nice to know?
As a result of our safety audits, underlying currents are commonly identified allowing your company to correct the problem before other areas of an operation become affected.
If you'd really like to know what's truly going on that employees may not want executives to know about, try an in-depth safety audit or safety implementation program. We'll help you correct deficiencies and learn more about all aspects of your operation without employees even realizing that an assessment is being conducted.
- Our comprehensive written report includes:
- identification of immediate life-threatening hazards,
- identification of code violations,
- observations and recommendations,
- an equipment database with special consideration given to safety or operational issues.
- This audit can be be performed on an "as-needed" basis, although we recommend every 2 years.
You'll feel better knowing, instead of hoping you're facility is compliant and your employees and their families will thank you.
...and don't forget, being fully compliant = no costly citations as well!
